About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Hardware Engineer to join our team at D-Orbit. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing digital electronic boards targeting FPGAs, SOC, and other high-speed digital applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital electronic boards from requirements to schematic definition, VHDL code, and testing coordination.
  • Lead PCB outline, layer setup, component placement, and signal routing requirements for high-speed and mixed-signal applications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product development and production.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and space standards and technologies.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in space, automotive, or medical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of VHDL and experience with Libero SoC and Vivado tool suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • MSc degree in Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in Italian and full professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Altium designer tool and Spice simulation tool.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, especially digital systems, and proficiency in using electronic test equipment.
  • Preferable experience in testing and debugging electronic boards and proficiency in high-speed and mixed-signal design and validation.
