At D-Orbit, we are at the forefront of space logistics and transportation, dedicated to unlocking the potential of the final frontier. As a member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will engage in cutting-edge electronic design and development.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the electronic design process, from defining requirements to schematic entry. You will collaborate with various engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring optimal PCB layout, component placement, and routing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electronic boards by managing requirements, schematic definitions, and test coordination.
  • Lead the PCB layout, including layer configuration, component positioning, and signal routing for diverse applications.
  • Coordinate with PCB service suppliers to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and advancements in space technology.
  • Collaborate with Hardware Engineers and manufacturing teams to support product development and maintenance.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer and Spice simulation tools.
  • Expertise in modern PCB design methodologies and tools.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Master's degree in Electronics or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-speed, mixed-signal, and power conversion designs.
  • Familiarity with electronic lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Knowledge of common electronic interfaces including CAN, SPI, and I2C.
  • Understanding of ECSS standards for electronic analysis.
  • Familiarity with ECSS PCB mastering rules is advantageous.

Language Proficiency:

This position requires professional proficiency in both English and Italian.
