Job Description:

ING is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Quality Assurance Senior Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance Quality Assurance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our controls and processes, and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality assurance activities, including independent testing and review of compliance topics, to ensure the quality of our controls and processes.
  • Be a subject matter expert on CQA Team topics, focusing on external regulations, such as MiFID II and IDD, and provide solutions to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Have a strong understanding of European investor protection regulations, including MiFID II and IDD, and be able to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of CQA-related training programs to enhance the skills of our team members.
  • Execute tests and reviews, and provide results from Key Control Testing (KCT) and QA initiatives.
  • Support risk assessment performed by the Compliance team, and provide input on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Business Line and/or Global Compliance Quality Assurance to perform QA activities, as needed.
  • Use the QA dedicated ING tool to support QA activities.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Compliance or Audit within the Banking/Financial Services Industry.
  • University degree or equivalent.
Technical, Language, and Other Specialized Skills:
  • Excellent level of English (verbal/written).
  • Proactive, open-minded, and problem-solving attitude.
  • Firm when needed, and able to show flexibility when possible.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across functional lines.
  • Relevant knowledge of risks and related assessment.
  • Investigative mindset, with an understanding of control methodologies.
  • Data analytical skills and sound judgment.
