Job Description:

As a key member of the Compliance Quality Assurance Team at ING, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our compliance processes and controls. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, and in providing guidance and support to our business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality assurance activities, including independent testing and reviews, to ensure the effectiveness of our compliance controls.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of European investor protection regulations, including MiFID II and IDD.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Team to identify and assess compliance risks, and to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support the development of compliance-related training programs for the benefit of our local and global Compliance community.
  • Execute tests and reviews, and elaborate results from Key Control Testing (KCT) and QA initiatives.
  • Support risk assessment performed by the Compliance Team, following the Head Office guidelines.
  • Support Business Line and/or Global Compliance Quality Assurance in the performance of QA activities, as requested.
  • Utilize the QA dedicated ING tool in relation to QA activities.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Compliance (or Audit Function) within the Banking/Financial Services Industry.
  • University degree or equivalent.
Technical, Language, and Other Specialized Skills:
  • Excellent level of English (verbal/written).
  • Proactive, open-minded, with problem-solving attitude and in-depth knowledge of banking processes.
  • Firm when needed, and able to show flexibility when possible.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across functional lines.
  • Relevant knowledge of risks and related assessment.
  • Investigative mindset, with understanding of control methodologies.
  • Data analytical skills and sound judgment.
