Our core technology, the ION Satellite Carrier, is a space vehicle that can transport satellites in orbit and release them individually into distinct orbital slots.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our FLEET team, responsible for managing ION Satellite Carrier missions. As the number of flights increases, we need a talented individual to design and integrate customer needs on our existing platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed structural analysis using FEA and hand calculations;
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations;
  • Evaluate structural on-boarding for customer proposals;
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and launch providers;
  • Draft specifications as per Space Engineering Standards;
  • Design mechanical parts as needed;
Requirements
  • Experience in structural analysis, including static, modal, and dynamic analysis;
  • Knowledge of Nastran and MSC suite;
  • Understanding of mechanics of materials and structural mechanics;
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work in a team and individually;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with environmental test campaigns;
  • Knowledge of composite materials;
  • Proficiency in CAD software;
Education

MSc in Space, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering is required.

Language

Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory. Italian is a plus.
