Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Alfa Laval Corporate AB. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for medium to high-level complexity projects in the prepared food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and plants for complex projects
  • Prepare technical specifications and project documents, including PID, 3D layouts, and Bill of Materials
  • Select and design products and solutions based on customer requests and applicable standards and codes
  • Deliver input to improve current technical solutions and develop new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage
  • Participate in internal project meetings and external meetings with customers to discuss process and design issues
  • Participate in commissioning and performance tests and assist in troubleshooting
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
  • At least 5 years' experience in relevant industries (food, aseptic processing, or pharma) in equivalent roles
  • Knowledge of thermal treatment processing and experience with engineering codes and standards (EHEDG and/or other equivalent codes for hygienic design)
  • Experience with project documents preparation and commissioning support
  • Advanced user of Autodesk package (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault) and Microsoft Windows environments and Office package
  • Advanced level (B2 or better) in written and spoken English
