We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales and promote the Salomon brand in the Milano and North of Italy region. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving significant sales targets, ensuring an exceptional consumer experience, and building partnerships with key specialty sporting goods retailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Distribution: Achieve seasonal sales and distribution targets in the defined territory, develop a seasonal game plan to drive Salomon brand guidelines, and build partnerships with assigned Premium Partners.
  • Sell Thru and Consumer Experience: Ensure a high level of product expertise and brand knowledge for store employees, increase and maximize Salomon in-store brand visibility, and manage local consumer activations.
  • Relationships: Develop and maintain great working relationships with key personnel in each account, develop and maintain close cooperation with the Salomon ASM community, and develop relationships with local sports environments.
  • Reporting: Prepare and review customer performance reports, analyze and report competitor distribution, and share best practices across the sales and marketing team.
Requirements
  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience in sales with a strong Sporting Goods expertise.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Sell Through Activation In Store and Events.
  • Retail Maths and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation and solution-selling, managing objections.
Competencies
  • Drive for results: exceeding goals and improving SOP.
  • Communication: clear and articulate, with the ability to absorb information and demonstrate understanding.
  • Relationship building: maintaining relationships, understanding others' motivations, and identifying stakeholder relationships.
Additional Information

This is a fixed-term position until, full-time, field-based in Italy, with a preferred area of Milano. A company car and driving license are mandatory.
