We are in search of a passionate Area Manager to spearhead and expand our operations in Sicily.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in the Bapa and Distributors domain, coupled with a strong ability to identify and seize business opportunities while delivering outstanding results.
Role Overview
As the Area Manager, you will devise and execute effective sales strategies tailored for the Bapa and Distributors segment. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and establishing connections with potential buyers in this field, coordinating the assigned sales network, and ensuring the attainment of business objectives.
You will conduct regular visits across the designated territory to engage with and consult all assigned clients.
Reporting to the Sales Manager for Italy Distributors and BAPA, you will communicate opportunities and challenges encountered.
Key Responsibilities
● Implement and oversee sales activities to meet budgetary and goal-oriented targets within the sales territory.
● Suggest enhancements to sales approaches and innovative methods to engage current and prospective customers.
● Provide guidance and support to clients regarding product innovations and advancements.
● Lead contractual negotiations with key accounts.
● Ensure continuous updates and relevance of knowledge in your area of expertise.
● Maintain active communication with the sales team, Sales Manager for Italy, assigned sales agents, and cross-functional departments regarding objectives, clients, and product availability.
● Cultivate and sustain relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring effective customer relationship management (CRM).
● Validate the accuracy and relevance of data utilized, ensuring high-quality output in reports and analyses.
● Relay market and customer insights to executives, colleagues, and other pertinent departments.
● Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Barry Callebaut's global organization.
● Adhere to internal regulations and commercial legislation during negotiations and contract finalizations.
Candidate Profile
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Food Technology.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, ideally within a Bapa pastry shop, Distributors, or organized structures for pastry product sales.
- Proven track record of successful business development for key accounts and sales resource management.
- Strong understanding of the B2B food industry and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Salesforce, and SAP software applications is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Italian and English (B2 level).
