Satellite and Ground Systems Engineer for Sentinel-3 Mission

As a Satellite and Ground Segment Engineer for the Sentinel-3 mission, you will be involved in ensuring the proper orchestration of operations across services contributing to CSC operations. This includes monitoring overall operations performance, from planned instrument observations and satellite downlink activities to user-level data availability at the data access interface.
Key Tasks:
- Operations Performance Monitoring: Ensure that CSC Services behavior aligns with expected outcomes by monitoring and analyzing data flow.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Identify deviations from expected performance and report findings.
- Operations Coordination and Support: Plan, track, and manage tasks and activities to coordinate CSC services and Data processor maintainers involved in specific Sentinel-3 mission operations.
- Interface Management: Ensure smooth communication among different CSC operational Services.
- Anomaly and Maintenance Management: Process and manage anomaly and maintenance reports, coordinating with involved entities until resolution.
- Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between client expectations and services provided by CSC.
- Support to DEV Team: Monitor and report requirements for the DEV team (dashboards).
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Expertise in performance monitoring and reporting, with ability to track, analyze, and report mission performance trends.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to interpret and respond to complex mission data.
• Proven experience in coordinating operations involving multiple services, entities, and stakeholders.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and tracking operational tasks across a distributed team.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage complex workflows and ensure seamless collaboration between involved teams.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira for action management, issue and anomaly processing and tracking, and Confluence for documentation and know-how sharing.
