About the Role

As the Operations Manager for Italy, you will oversee the operational efficiency of Welcome Pickups in the region. Your responsibilities will include monitoring key performance indicators and proactively managing driver acquisition, optimizing destination setups, and engaging with the community. You will play a crucial role in expanding Welcome Pickups across various locations. This position is part of our Driver Operations team and reports directly to the Head of Driver Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal operational performance with the highest number of transfers and minimal cancellations.
  • Evaluate the performance and service quality of new drivers through KPIs and community feedback.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the local driver labor market and legal requirements to identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Design and implement innovative, data-driven strategies for driver recruitment and retention.
  • Continuously refine the setup of Welcome Destinations, including operational parameters.
  • Facilitate communication with driver communities through calls and group discussions, recognizing and nurturing top performers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Driver Operations to provide insights on driver-related data, market challenges, and capacity management.
  • Work alongside the Expansion and Commercial teams to contribute region-specific insights for business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Over two years of proven experience in operations, preferably in fleet management, ride-sharing, last-mile logistics, or high-growth startups in Italy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • A track record of exceeding performance goals.
  • Solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in Italian is mandatory.
  • Analytical thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Friendly and positive demeanor.
  • Proficient in digital technologies.
