About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Excellence Lead to join our team at BYD Europe. As a key member of our European Sales Training Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our Italy customer-facing teams are fully skilled and equipped to deliver consistently outstanding and meaningful customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Adapt and Implement Sales Excellence Master Plan (SEMP): Develop and execute a tailored SEMP for the Italy market, aligning with our company's overall sales strategy.
  2. Deliver Impactful Sales Training: Design and deliver high-quality sales training sessions and content, leveraging digital, virtual, and physical learning methods to engage and empower our sales teams.
  3. Manage Training Database and Tools: Oversee the management of our learning platforms and tools, ensuring seamless integration and effective use by our sales teams.
  4. Contribute to SEMP Development: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and refine the SEMP, incorporating BYD Group's brand insights, product knowledge, and customer experience strategies.
  5. Identify and Implement Training Solutions: Work with subject matter experts to determine training needs and develop targeted solutions to address them.
  6. Track and Report Training Interventions: Monitor and record all training activities, providing regular reports to ensure centralized Europe-wide reporting.
  7. Collaborate with External Agencies: Identify and partner with external agencies to support training development, execution, and consultancy.
  8. Provide Performance Coaching: Offer ad-hoc coaching and guidance to teams and individual team members to enhance their performance and achieve sales objectives.
Key Objectives
  1. Implement and adapt the Sales Excellence Master Plan (SEMP) for the Italy market.
  2. Validate and certify local trainers.
  3. Track and record training completion rates.
  4. Manage sales staff certification.
  5. Monitor customer satisfaction rates and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in automotive, marketing, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in customer-focused training or coaching.
  3. Customer-centric mindset aligned with our mission to create a more sustainable future.
  4. Excellent Italian and English language skills (knowledge of other European languages and/or Chinese is a plus).
  5. Proven coaching, training, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. In-depth knowledge of the European automotive industry, including its history, brands, products, and technologies.
  7. Familiarity with digital tools such as the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe creative tools.
  8. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and partner effectively with cross-border/cultural teams.
  9. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within the Italy retail network and occasionally to BYD European HQ.
