About the Role

As an Azure Data Engineer at NTT DATA, you'll play a key role in supporting our clients' Big Data projects, working closely with business analysts and solution architects to understand their needs and objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing data acquisition, transformation, and loading processes for data lakes
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse
  • Collaborating with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models
  • Ensuring data quality, security, and governance
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a cloud native environment, with a focus on Azure
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data architectures, cloud, and on-premise solutions
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure, networking, and security
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting
  • SQL language knowledge and experience with data visualization tools
  • Agile methodology and Kanban experience
  • Microsoft Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Desired Skills

We're looking for candidates with additional experience in:

  • Big Data certification, such as Cloudera or Databricks
  • Non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions, such as Talend or Oracle Data Integrator
  • Data visualization solutions, such as PowerBI or Tableau

Location

NTT DATA has offices in various locations, including Milano, Bari, Bologna, Cosenza, Napoli, Roma, Salerno, and Torino.
