Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Plant Designer. This role involves a commitment to a fixed-term contract on a full-time basis.

Your Role

As a Plant Designer, you will be part of a diverse team, working collaboratively with experts from various disciplines. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the planning and management of plant-related operations within the Institute.
  • Handling maintenance tasks and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Managing job orders and serving as a construction manager when necessary.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Engineering or a relevant professional diploma.
  • Enrollment in the Order of Engineers or a similar professional body.
  • Proven experience with various systems, including electrical, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procurement codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Additional Skills

Preferred candidates will also have:

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • At least three years of experience in construction site management.
  • Knowledge of fire prevention protocols.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong motivation for continuous learning and improvement.
