Position Overview

The role of the Account Manager in the Microbiology sector involves a comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing client needs. This position is pivotal in developing strategic initiatives that enhance sales opportunities and foster long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer applications to evaluate potential client demands and formulate effective short, medium, and long-term sales strategies.
  • Oversee contractual negotiations, including Confidentiality agreements and pricing contracts, while ensuring the resolution of any commercial disputes.
  • Proactively manage sales progression and coordinate resources from the Molecular and AST teams to deliver tailored solutions that promote growth in product areas.
  • Regularly provide account status updates and utilize SFDC for accurate reporting, generating sales forecasts and conducting monthly business reviews.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of confirmed commercial experience or substantial knowledge in microbiology.
  • Demonstrated ability in relationship management with a proven track record of positive outcomes.
  • Experience with commercial tenders is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to convey the company’s vision effectively.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • A valid driving license is required, with the expectation of travel at least three days per week.
