Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Product Support Specialist to join our team in Milan. As a Product Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our customers with warranty claims and aftermarket parts identification.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate support for compressor products, including warranty claims and aftermarket parts identification.
- Develop and deliver training programs for distributors, both remotely and in-person, to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to support our products.
- Maintain accurate records of open issues, including warranty claims and parts identification, and use data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Warranty, Technical Support, Engineering, Quality, and Sales, to ensure seamless support for our customers.
- Investigate and resolve application and conversion issues, and review engineering documentation to support conversions or machine upgrades.
- Use warranty database to develop and issue detailed reports supporting corrective action, and engage with global stakeholders to ensure consistent and best-in-class processes.
- Make technical assessments on warranty claims and decisions to assign defect cost liability.
- Coordinate with project management teams concerning systems, change requests, testing environments, and database maintenance.
Requirements
- Preferred, four-year technical degree (mechanical/electrical), or applicable trade qualification with relevant technical experience.
- Fluency in English and at least one additional European language (French, German, Spanish, Italian, etc).
- Understanding of Ingersoll Rand products or experience with industrial machinery to component level.
- Knowledge of technical drawings, engineering documentation, bill of materials, parts manuals, factory processes, etc.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems (Oracle or SAP) a plus.
- Pro-active approach to resolving customer issues, technical aptitude, and ability to clearly articulate and drive corrective actions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to influence, understand, interact, and connect with a diverse range of people at different levels.
