Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team in Italy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and nurturing leads, as well as advancing the sales process through prospecting and exploration.

They will conduct research to identify potential target accounts and decision-makers within them, collaborate with sales and presales teams to develop effective sales approaches, and create marketing qualified opportunities that can be handed off to sales.

This role requires strong communication skills, problem identification and objections handling skills, as well as exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Direct outreach and follow-up on marketing originated/derived leads generated through external channels
  • Carry out exploratory research and identify potential target accounts and decision-makers within them
  • Collaborate with sales and presales teams to hone best sales approaches and angles
  • Create and deliver marketing qualified opportunities that can be handed off to sales
  • Support marketing efforts at trade shows, exhibits, and other events where there is an opportunity to interact/meet prospects
Requirements
  • University or college degree
  • Ideal 2+ years' experience in a business development role
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
