About the Role

Hitachi Europe Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to support the company's growth and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business development projects, building strong relationships with customers, and executing growth initiatives across various accounts and segments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the definition, development, and execution of growth opportunities identified by the Global Market Strategy (GMS) team in collaboration with regions and business units.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive business development projects and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Execute growth initiatives across different accounts and segments, including identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to capture them.
  • Support the collection of success stories and customer testimonials to showcase the company's capabilities and achievements.
  • Assist in the execution of solution launches and ensure a smooth transition to the market.
  • Act as the interface/bridge between internal functions and departments, sites, and countries to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Understand segment/channel/customer application and engineering needs in the market and analyze results to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of working across Hitachi and communicating effectively at all levels.
  • Good understanding of Hitachi's portfolio and knowledge of addressing specific customer needs and market challenges.
  • Strong can-do attitude with a proactive mindset to commitment and execution.
  • Able to influence and deliver specification sales of the product portfolio.
  • Willingness and openness to travel occasionally when required.
  • Cultural sensitivity and openness to work in an international business environment across all time zones.
  • Excellent English level.
  • Japanese proficiency is a great plus.
