Senior Vendor Manager for EU Consumables and Pets

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vendor Manager to join our EU Pets team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing our categories and vendor relationships across EU.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the business owner for your category, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business.
  2. Manage all key vendor relationships in your category, including supplier/partner contracts, day-to-day relationships, and negotiations.
  3. Understand industry trends, seasonality, and business developments, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.
  4. Identify selection expansion opportunities and work with partner teams to onboard new brands to Amazon.
  5. Advocate for customer needs and improve the shopping experience.
  6. Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external teams, meeting tight deadlines.
  7. Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  8. Seek out ways to automate and simplify manual processes.
A Day in the Life
  1. Deep dive into financial reporting on business performance.
  2. Engage with vendor partners to develop their business with Amazon.
  3. Work cross-functionally to develop customer growth projects.
  4. Lead negotiations.
  5. Partner with AVS-Brand Specialists to manage vendor relationships and deliver the Vendor Improvement Plan (VIP).
About the Team

Our EU5 Baby team strives to be diverse and inclusive while optimizing productivity to deliver big wins for our customers. We aim to make it easier for parents to learn about and buy what they need when they need it and be the destination for parents to purchase their baby and toddler products.

Requirements
  • Fluency in Italian and based in Milan to manage the vendor base.
  • Excel experience.
  • Experience in account management, project or program management, or buying.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
  • Industry sector-specific knowledge is not a prerequisite, though a passion for online retailing and the enthusiasm to quickly build up your knowledge of a new area are both essential.
