Executive Account Manager Job Description

About the Role

The Executive Account Manager is responsible for developing and nurturing strategic relationships with key client accounts to maximise revenue and profit-based opportunities.

In partnership with other account team members, this role leads the development and execution of account development strategies, collaborates with clients and stakeholders cross-functionally to generate demand for Insight's solutions and services, and advances the maturity of client engagements.

This role is accountable for delivering agreed account and team goals within the client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop key business relationships within assigned clients through proactive sales activities.
  • Create and implement annual business plans for assigned portfolios that articulate strategies to deliver results in key areas of focus.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of strategic account plans for each client based on client pain points and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and position Insight's solution offerings to improve the maturity of business relationships, create hardware and software growth, services revenue growth, generate new lines of business, and enhance client value.
  • Be accountable for achieving revenue and profit-based targets and maintain accurate reporting of the pipeline, forecast, and activity.
  • Promote new ideas and solutions to Insight's clients and engage with internal stakeholders to support and manage client needs.
  • Conduct frequent progress reviews against client account plans and put in place corrective measures for plans off track.
  • Own tender/bid engagement across assigned portfolios.
  • Teach, train, coach, and mentor teammates to promote satisfaction and career progression.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Considerable consultative and sales experience in technology.
  • Experience in Business Development.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership, build positive team spirit, and inspire and motivate teammates.
  • Ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their business challenges and credibly provide solutions.
  • Extensive client-facing sales experience, wins client confidence, and delivers demonstrations with professional authority and ease.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership, understands IT challenges, the needs of clients, and how solutions drive business value.
  • Ability to prospect and manage senior-level relationships including C-Level within the target client size in a mature, credible manner.

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
