Role Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned and strategic Business Development Manager with a robust background in IT distribution and expertise in managing vendor relationships. This pivotal role is essential for optimizing and expanding our vendor partnerships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services to our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Analysis:
- Assess market trends, industry developments, and customer insights to shape business strategies.
- Generate regular reports detailing sales activities, pipeline status, and business development outcomes.
- Evaluate sales and financial metrics to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and sustain strong, enduring relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
- Identify, assess, and onboard new vendors to broaden our product offerings and meet market needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison for key vendor accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Contract and Performance Management:
- Negotiate vendor agreements, pricing, and terms to secure advantageous conditions for the organization.
- Oversee contract compliance and manage renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Monitor vendor performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to vendors to foster continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including category management, procurement, sales, marketing, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless integration of vendor products and services.
Issue Resolution:
- Proactively address and resolve any issues or disputes with vendors promptly and effectively.
- Ensure swift resolution of product or service-related challenges to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in vendor management, category management, business development, sales, or a related field within the IT distribution sector.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong comprehension of IT products, solutions, and the distribution landscape.
- Proficient in English at a business level.
