About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Customer Communications at Fairplay Sports Media. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a global strategy to engage and retain our customer base, driving business growth and revenue through effective customer communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive customer communications strategy across all owned and operated brands, including oddschecker and WhoScored.
  • Manage a team of 9 CRM and Social Media experts, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer communications.
  • Contribute creative ideas for our CRM and social channels, ensuring alignment with our brand message, tone of voice, and visual appearance.
  • Own and drive the loyalty strategy, developing and executing campaigns to prevent churn, upsell, and reactivate customers.
  • Transform our existing email marketing programme into a fully segmented, data-led, personalized CRM programme, leveraging our customer data to drive business growth.
  • Assess and improve existing processes and systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategize and manage the segmentation of our customer base, developing targeted campaigns to engage and retain customers.
  • Work closely with content, PR, and digital marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Manage 3rd party agencies as required, ensuring seamless delivery of customer communications.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a management position across digital marketing channels, including CRM and Social Media.
  • Experience managing in more than one territory, ideally the UK and US.
  • Knowledge of a range of CRM platforms and technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of social media culture and platforms.
  • Commercial mindset with knowledge of growing acquisition and retention.
  • Enthusiasm for multiple sports, with comprehensive knowledge across various leagues.
  • Ability to build and manage social communities for diverse sports audiences.
  • Adept in analytics software, including GA4 and Data Studio.
