About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer Excitation Specialist to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our Process Automation Energy Industries business in Italy, you will be responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers.
  • Display a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.
  • Perform or coordinate complex and diverse engineering activities associated with service projects and contracts.
  • Troubleshoot applying own knowledge and experience.
  • Implement actions to fully explore all possibilities and eliminate/minimize problems.
  • Prepare or provide input for technical documents such as specifications, procedures, or technical reports.
  • Prepare timesheet, service reports, expense reports, and other documents immediately following the work assignment.
  • Propose to Customers ways to optimize their operations or make general improvements.
  • Seek other opportunities to promote Customer satisfaction and foster harmonious business relations.
  • Apply all ABB policies and company ethics.
Requirements
  • Highly skilled in commissioning or service for automation projects.
  • Experience in Power Generation and in Excitation will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • At least 2 years experience in automation projects and you are passionate about customer relations.
  • At ease communicating in Italian and English languages.
