Job Overview

Become a vital member of our Credit Control team within the GBS EMEA Finance division at Terumo Europe N.V. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing our financial operations, reporting directly to the Credit Control Lead. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of 8 professionals, working together to ensure the effectiveness and precision of our credit control activities.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

Payment Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely handling of both incoming and outgoing payments, including netting. Cash Collection Oversight: Guaranteeing prompt cash collection and addressing related issues to sustain cash flow. Order Management: Blocking and releasing customer orders as required. Credit Risk Evaluation: Assessing credit risks associated with customers and suppliers, managing uncovered risks, and recommending credit limit adjustments to management. Customer Engagement: Interacting with customers and customer service to facilitate timely collections and resolve disputes. Sales Collaboration: Coordinating with local sales representatives to discuss overdue accounts and customer risks. Reporting: Generating monthly reports for Accounts Receivable (A/R) and credit control. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to SOX controls, conducting monthly A/R account reconciliations, and updating policies and procedures. Monthly Close Support: Assisting in the monthly financial closing process. Document Management: Maintaining a thorough filing system for all financial documents. Timely Reporting: Delivering punctual reports to the Credit Control Lead.

Candidate Profile

Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field. Experience: Relevant experience in a similar role. Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP (SD & FI) is advantageous, along with a solid understanding of the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) process. Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Skills: A proactive approach, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Additional Skills: Adaptability, goal-oriented mindset, and a collaborative spirit. Market Knowledge: Understanding of the Italian medical device market, both direct and indirect, is beneficial. Languages: Proficiency in English and Italian. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
