Job Summary

Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team and play a critical role in managing health and safety within our Fulfillment Centre (FC). The successful candidate will identify, coordinate, and drive improvements in inbound safety, quality, and productivity, working with our Operations Management teams to continuously improve the functionality and level of service that the Fulfillment Centre provides to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Output Management: Manage aspects of output in your area, including people management, metrics, productivity targets, and process improvements.
  2. Health and Safety Function: Manage the health and safety function at the FC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
  3. Collaborative Projects: Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
  4. Advice and Guidance: Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within the designated area of responsibility.
  5. Culture Change: Drive a behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
  6. Arrangements Review: Review and audit arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
  7. Work Systems Planning: Provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommend suitable adaptations to plant, machinery, and processes.
  8. Management Information: Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
  9. Business Change Support: Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced Fulfillment Center environment.
  10. Policy Implementation: Implement and review company global safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.
  11. Reporting Regimes: Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for H&S statistics.
