Job Summary

The IT Manager is a key member of the Amanresorts International Pte Ltd team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems. This role involves supervising the implementation of our company's computing needs and managing the maintenance of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management: Manage the day-to-day activities of the IT function to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
  • Incident Resolution: Engage with vendors and the IT team to identify, diagnose, and resolve all business systems incidents and problems.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with technical vendors, 3rd party business partners, and service providers to ensure they perform to service obligations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all corporate policy and procedures, as well as legal requirements related to hardware and software installation, use, and licensing agreements.
  • System Updates: Install and test corporate-approved program changes to the hotel computer system(s).
  • System Knowledge: Understand all standards and customized features and functions of the hotel front office systems, point of sale systems, and other systems, including system security, system reports, manager functions, system utilities, and user functions.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform local systems backup, ensuring all critical data is protected and functional.
  • Security: Ensure that the computer room fire protection, temperature control, and power requirements meet the company security specification.
  • User Management: Control all user IDs, passwords, and security parameters.
  • Emergency Procedures: Establish documents, test, and communicate appropriate emergency procedures to follow when the hotel computer system(s) are inoperable.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering department to ensure the proper maintenance of all in-room technology.
  • Special Projects: Manage special projects as assigned by Management.
  • Training and Support: Create training programs and resources to educate staff on the utilization of IT systems and tools.
  • Guest Support: Assist hotel guests with technical requirements and issues.
  • Reporting: Adhere to Corporate IT instructions and provide reports on a timely basis.
  • System Availability: Ensure that all critical systems are available 24 hours a day.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in fields related to IT.
  • Experience: Five years' experience in the field. Previous experience in hospitality is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Good command of English and Italian, both verbal and written.
  • Technical Skills: Fluent in a variety of software and hardware programs with recent training and experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with phone systems, Wi-Fi hardware, as well as daily use of office tools such as printers and AV equipment.
