Mission
As an Engineering Consultant specializing in R&D opportunities, your main role is to support in scouting potential research and development projects eligible for International and European financing in key areas such as energy and sustainability transition, as well as digital transition across various sectors including manufacturing industry, healthcare, energy production, advanced materials bio-based industries, and more. Additionally, you will play a vital part in identifying appropriate partners for project consortiums and aiding in the management of operations for financed R&D projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Scouting and Analysis:
- Collaborate with senior consultants and teams to research and identify European financed R&D opportunities in the engineering sector.
- Assist in analyzing project requirements, eligibility criteria, and funding structures for feasibility assessment. - Consortium Building Support:
- Support in identifying and reaching out to potential partners, such as research institutions, industry players, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in coordinating activities to form project consortiums with diverse expertise. - Proposal Development Assistance:
- Work with senior consultants and partners to contribute to project proposal development for submission to European funding agencies.
- Ensure proposals align with technical, financial, and regulatory requirements. - Project Coordination:
- Provide support in coordinating project activities from initiation to closure.
- Assist in resource allocation and ensuring consortium members meet project milestones. - Stakeholder Communication:
- Aid in maintaining communication between the organization, consortium members, and relevant stakeholders.
- Support in building relationships to enhance collaboration and project success. - Compliance Oversight:
- Work with senior consultants to ensure projects comply with regulatory and contractual obligations related to International and European funding.
- Contribute to preparing progress reports for funding agencies and internal management with the RINA R&D Financial Manager. - Risk Mitigation Assistance:
- Identify and communicate potential risks linked with R&D projects.
- Support in mitigating risks and addressing deviations in project budgets and timelines.
Education
Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering General.
Qualifications
Preferably Master's and PhD in energy engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, biomedical engineering, information engineering.
