- _
- Operations Service Manager -Below Wing/ Ramp is responsible for overall operational excellence, providing leadership to direct reports, front-line work teams, business partner management across all elements of the operation. Additionally, this role oversees and coordinates operational performance including, but not limited to, on-time departures (D-Zero), safety, security, customer service delivery and other key performance indicators. This leader will serve as an operational liaison between Delta and all contracted business partners within a station. This Delta leader will also monitor for at-risk behaviors through daily safety observations._

Summary of responsibilities:_**
- _
Participates in Incident Analysis reports, Injury Prevention Group sessions and applicable station safety meetings._
- _ Ensures adherence to the station Safety Business Plan in addition to assuring compliance to our divisional Performance and Safety standards._
- _ Ensures distinctive customer service is delivered by demonstrating a high level of customer focus and sensitivity._
- _ Acts as a key communicator of timely and accurate information._
- _ Sets performance standards and ensures adherence to those standards and champions and leads others through change._
- _ Responsible for leadership development through mentoring, on-the-job training and delegation._
- _ Provides support, guidance, coaching and motivation based on individual needs._
- _ Uses strategy in thought processes and decision making._
- _ Measures and analyzes employee performance through the use of performance management tools, available customer service and operational metrics, job shadowing and direct observation._
- _ Responsible and accountable for the timely completion and delivery of performance appraisals, quality assurance observations, performance discussions, coaching and counseling and administrative action, while being a strong advocate of employee recognition._
- _ Continued training and development in building leadership capabilities is expected._
- _ Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being._

**_What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)_**:

- _
- _ Three years of ACS experience in operations and customer service is preferred._
- _ Must have a working knowledge of Delta policies and procedures._
- _ Must possess strong customer service skills and focus and have the flexibility to manage an operation with varying shifts, extended hours and on call requirements._
- _ Must also possess strong written and verbal communication, including platform/presentation skills. The ability to speak, understand and write in Italian is recommended._
- _ Must have the ability to coach and deliver feedback for developmental purposes._
- _ Must be approachable, have interpersonal skills that foster trust and respect, and be able to effectively manage conflict and problem solve._
- _ Should exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate responsibility to direct reports._
- _ Must be able to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints._
- _ (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in present position._
- _ Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data._
- _ Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles._
