**Position**:
For our Milan Headquarter, we are seeking a

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

to join our expanding Business Development team.

The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) will play an important part in the success of our business, supporting our senior partners in the gathering of intelligence and provision of data to develop our understanding of our existing and prospective clients’ needs.

The BDC must understand local and international markets and needs, define the best positioning and commercial action plan to implement the business development activities in Italy and abroad.

The BDC will have a strong working relationship to the Business Development team, composed of marketing, bidding and fee proposal specialists. A background in Architecture, or within the construction industry, is a plus.

Primary areas of responsibility:

- Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
- Identify and increase public and private clients’ base
- Undertake research projects specific to geographical markets, sectors and client groups
- Gather useful information from customers and competitors
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts across clients, consultants and specialists
- Engage in the A/E/C community, both on-line and representing the practice at industry forums and events
- Log and maintain CRM records for new project opportunities
- Contribute to weekly opportunities meeting with the partners
- Support the new business team in identifying, appraising and responding to new project enquiries and opportunities
- Maintain a library of written responses, case studies and relevant information to support the production of bids

**Requirements**:
We seek a person who:

- Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity within the architecture, property development, engineering, construction or professional service industry.
- Demonstrates clear and concise English written and verbal communication.
- Has confidence to liaise with senior managers and external clients.
- Demonstrates first class customer service skills, being highly responsive and well organised. An attention to detail is essential as is a commitment to producing consistent high-quality output.
- Has the ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment simultaneously.
- Is comfortable working while developing and optimizing internal procedures, an open approach to new ways of professional collaboration.
- Has an ability to keep track of the numbers, analyse sales data and succinctly summarise it for others.
- Has a keen interest in architecture and design, extensive knowledge of the construction industry.
- Has a deep understanding of the architectural scope of services.

An authentic, professional and engaging approach is required whether carrying out any aspect of the role internally, or participating in any business development activity.
