Lead Auditor for Welding and Pressure Equipment in Northern Italy

RINA is seeking a Lead Auditor for Welding and Pressure Equipment in Northern Italy to be part of its team in Milan, Italy, within the Italy Certification Operations Division.

Role Overview

This position is centered on strategizing, overseeing, and executing the certification process for pressure equipment manufacturers, metal welders, and welding methodologies, in accordance with American or European standards. The primary area of focus will be Lombardia.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and perform inspections as an Authorized Inspector for RINA Services (ASME Inspection Agency) Manage and execute inspection and certification activities related to the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2024/68/EU) Facilitate and conduct welding qualification sessions at client locations, adhering to EN ISO, ASME, and AWS standards

Required Qualifications

Degree or diploma in a technical or scientific discipline Over 5 years of relevant experience in welding coordination and pressure equipment inspection Proven experience in managing certification as ASME AIA or ASME Certificate Holder Possession of a valid ASME commission card, transferable to RINA Services AIA, is preferred Qualification as a Welding Engineer/Technologist or equivalent is advantageous Familiarity with EN/ISO/ASME/AWS reference standards Understanding of key non-destructive testing methods Proficiency in English and Italian languages

Educational Background

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field; High School Diploma/GED
