Business Development Manager for Italy Testing Services

RINA is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for Italy Testing Services to enhance its operations within the Italy Certification Commercial Division.

Objective

The primary objective of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to foster growth and broaden business avenues for RINA laboratories. This role entails augmenting the service pipeline and securing contracts for a designated portfolio of services across Italy.

Core Responsibilities

1. Manage and Analyze Order Intake:
- Oversee the sales pipeline to ensure a consistent influx of orders.
- Evaluate and interpret key performance metrics related to order intake.
2. Expand Pipeline with New Opportunities:
- Discover and incorporate new potential clients into the sales pipeline.
- Conduct thorough research to identify prospects and evaluate their compatibility with the organization's services.
3. Lead Negotiations on Contracts and Proposals:
- Actively engage in negotiating and finalizing significant contracts.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and tenders.
4. Successful Contract Finalization and Insights:
- Spearhead efforts to successfully finalize contracts.
- Document insights gained from completed contracts to enhance future processes.
5. Identify Cross-Selling and Collaborative Opportunities:
- Work in conjunction with various departments to pinpoint cross-selling prospects.
- Formulate strategies to capitalize on collaborative opportunities within the RINA Group.
6. Monitor Competitor Activities:
- Keep track of competitor actions and provide insights on industry trends.
- Utilize competitor data to refine and enhance the organization's strategies.
7. Initiate Sales and Business Development Activities:
- Concentrate on generating new sales and business prospects.
- Conduct client meetings and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
8. Explore Partnerships and Alliances:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with external entities to penetrate new markets and broaden business reach.
9. Enhance Customer Engagement and Satisfaction:
- Interact with current and prospective customers to grasp their needs and expectations.
- Emphasize customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the exploration of new markets.
10. Stay Informed on Offerings and Technological Solutions:
- Remain knowledgeable about the organization's current and upcoming offerings.
- Effectively communicate technological solutions to clients.
