Location: South Europe territory
The base salary for this position is negotiable depending on experience. However, we can estimate the annual salary to be around £60,000-£80,000 based on industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our team in South Europe. As a key member of our commercial growth team, you will be responsible for creating and executing strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand our customer base across major retailers in the region.
You will be responsible for selling our solutions into major retailers across the region, achieving/exceeding the sales target for the fiscal year via annual subscription to our solutions.
You will need to understand, learn, and deliver our proposition effectively communicating the value proposition, through proposals and presentations and elevate Retail Insight as the category leader in solutions for retail operations.
You will also be required to understand category specific landscapes and trends, maintain an effective sales team by recruiting, onboarding, and training employees, monitoring and appraising their performance.
Achieving the target is the primary objective. However, we expect that all contracts fall into the 'good business' category, with clear expectations on what will be delivered.
You will work closely with the business development, marketing team, and our advisors to build pipeline, setting priorities and providing opinions and content for the accounts in your territory.
You will maximise networking, marketing opportunities with potential clients and attend major industry events and conferences.
You will provide accurate reporting on sales forecasts and activities in the territory.
Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for an individual with proven sales executive experience in meeting and exceeding targets, ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level.
Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions is essential.
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
Experience in a business development role providing solutions to the retail or CPG sector is required with a strong understanding of the Food, Drug, & Mass sectors.
Experience implementing solutions into Retailers would be valuable.
You should be able to understand complex issues and distil them into solutions.
You should be smart and creative about sales opportunities, with the ability to analyze opportunities, set strategies, and execute to win good business.
You should be able to build and develop strong relationships with prospective clients.
A high energy, positive outlook, and great work ethic are all required characteristics.
