Procurement Specialist for Manufacturing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Buyer plays a vital role within our Manufacturing Procurement team. The main duties include:Managing purchase orders, engaging in negotiations with vendors, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating with Production & Operations teams and management. Establishing strong relationships and maintaining regular communication with staff across various departments to anticipate business needs and make informed purchasing decisions based on demand. In this role, you will be involved in:
Researching, selecting, and acquiring high-quality products and materials. Cultivating relationships with suppliers and negotiating optimal pricing. Processing requisitions and providing management with updates on order statuses. Monitoring inventory and ensuring stock levels are maintained appropriately. Coordinating the transportation of goods and tracking orders to guarantee timely delivery. Analyzing market trends and leveraging this information to make strategic purchasing decisions. Collaborating with the inventory team, management, and stockroom as necessary. Evaluating the quality of received stock and reporting any discrepancies to suppliers and management. Adhering to Panasonic's Policies, Processes, and Procedures. Participating in all corporate compliance requirements including ISM, CSR, Anti-bribery & Corruption, and Competition Law.
QUALIFICATIONS
A university degree in finance, economics, or a related field. 3-4 years of experience in commercial finance, ideally within a manufacturing environment, with a solid grasp of financial statements and bookkeeping. Proficiency in English and Italian; knowledge of French is a plus. Capability to analyze data and engage with all organizational levels. Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. Excellent critical thinking and negotiation abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.BENEFITS
