**About the Role**
Director of Event Operations
The Director of Event Operations is a pivotal role that oversees the operational execution of multiple off-venue hospitality locations throughout Italy during the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic and Paralympic Games. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to develop customized hospitality programs that deliver exceptional spectator experiences and maximize revenue through diverse commercial offerings.
Responsibilities
• Develop bespoke Off-Venue hospitality packages in support of each program, focusing on budget, location, guest experience, and capacity.
• Provide recommendations and analysis of potential Off-Venue hospitality sites.
• Negotiate and contract Off-Venue hospitality locations.
• Oversee overall event production budgets and timelines to ensure project milestones are met.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of vendors for Off-Venue hospitality builds.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to enhance the guest experience.
• Offer operational guidance, supervision, mentorship, and support to the event production team.
• Develop an operational plan to efficiently manage event business operations.

• Oversight of scope milestones and deadlines
• Budget forecasting, qualification, and maintenance
• P&L tracking and expenditure oversight
• Troubleshooting and proactive measures for event aspects leading up to and following handover to the production implementation team
• Maintenance and management of venue and vendor relationships
• Administrative tasks, including expense reports, invoice processing, file storage, and weekly hours billing reports
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in managing and producing events, brand activations, and event teams
• Fluency in written and spoken business Italian; other languages a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organizational skills and process orientation
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and direction with minimal supervision
• Good timekeeping and work ethic
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
