Job Summary

This role is with ABB, an inclusive employer and a member of the Mygwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and project team members.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Capture and analyze lessons learned throughout the project, ensuring that the project is formally closed out as contractually agreed.
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and its acknowledgment by the customer.
  • Ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Support Supply Chain Management in negotiations, claims, and project changes, and act as a key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.

Requirements

  • Engineering background.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in project management.
  • Good knowledge of automation systems, including DCS.
  • Able to work under pressure, operate in a resource-constrained environment, manage multiple projects concurrently, set priorities, and be goal-oriented.
  • Fluent in Italian with excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and verbal English (French and/or Spanish will be a plus).
  • Availability for short trips in Italy and abroad.
  • Proactivity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
