Project Manager Role at ABB

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of small to medium-size project activities, ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety environment requirements, financial targets, contract specifications, and schedule commitments throughout all phases from Kick Off to commissioning and final handover to the Customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow ABB policies and business ethics, working in accordance with ABB procedures using applicable tools.
  • Ensure quality in all assigned tasks.
  • Manage project development from Kick Off Meeting to invoice and cash collection phases, passing through procurement via SAP, activity planning/co-ordination, and logistic arrangement.
  • Act as point of reference for the project team during project execution.
  • Act as key contact for the Customer and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal or external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all of them.
  • Manage all required reporting and documentation, ensuring all necessary data is registered in a timely manner in the system.
  • Travel on-site whenever needed during any project phase.
Requirements:
  • Highly skilled on automation/software and Electro-Technical topics.
  • Experience in industrial and real-time processes with particular focus on power generation and distribution.
  • Innovative around problem solving with a target-oriented mindset.
  • Degree in Naval/Electro-Technical Engineering.
  • Ability to communicate in Italian and English.
  • Availability to travel worldwide with a short pre-notice.
