Regional Sales Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the chemical and environmental industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute Go-To-Market plans to drive sales growth and revenue in the region.
  • Collaborate with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively.
  • Be creative in finding ways to close deals based on a 'must-win' mentality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success.
  • 2+ years of experience as an indirect people and/or distribution manager.
  • Must have sold capital pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ across the assigned territory.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the chemical and/or environmental industry and experience selling in those markets.
  • Self-starter and able to work on your own.
  • Ability to prospect new business and have that 'hunter' attitude.
  • Strong communication skills – orally and written in English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
