We are currently looking for a BIM - Digital Construction Engineer to join our engineering and construction team, playing a pivotal role in advancing digitalization within the construction sector, both in the office and on-site, with the goal of enhancing efficiency and performance in project execution, aligning with our corporate vision.

The selected candidate will report directly to the EasyPlant Program Manager within the CMC – Construction Method Center.

The CMC operates under Global Construction within Delivery Excellence, focusing on developing and implementing construction engineering solutions to improve project preparation and control, ultimately optimizing costs and timelines.

The BIM - Digital Construction Engineer will engage in key initiatives, including:

  • Establishing and standardizing BIM coordination processes
  • Managing data through Business Intelligence solutions
  • Implementing Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodologies on EPC projects
  • Collaborating with an AGILE development team

Role Overview

Following a comprehensive training period on EasyPlant Suite functionalities, the engineer will contribute to the 3D Construction & Technologies team, supporting the Construction Digital Factory.

As a team member, the engineer will undertake a progressive journey that includes:

  • Analyzing and establishing BIM workflows to meet project specifications
  • Creating and managing dashboards utilizing Business Intelligence tools
  • Assisting construction operations with BIM solutions
  • Participating in an AGILE team to test new or enhanced features, developing and executing structured test plans, and collaborating with the team to troubleshoot and ensure reliability.

This process is guided by Agile methodology, providing a structured approach to development, under a TEN Global Governance framework.

The engineer's responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing requirements and contributing to the development of new processes or modifications to existing ones
  • Creating detailed functional specifications that address business needs
  • Working with the agile team to detail and prioritize user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Engaging in agile team meetings for backlog refinement and preparation for Program Increment planning
  • Supporting the team daily by providing necessary clarifications for story estimates and sequencing
  • Conducting user acceptance testing prior to final product release and assisting in the deployment of new features
  • Promoting and demonstrating new solutions using design tools.

These experiences will equip the engineer to take on the role of EasyPlant 3D Coordinator on projects, joining construction sites as needed.

Within the project, the engineer will be responsible for the setup, deployment, and operation of the EasyPlant suite, including:

  • Coordinating BIM 3D models to fulfill construction requirements using BIM software
  • Providing feedback and requirements to discipline leaders
  • Collecting and preparing setup data, ensuring quality and integrity while collaborating with engineering, planning, and construction teams
  • Ensuring that all site activity reports are accurately updated and shared with relevant parties
  • Delivering communication and functional training to site users
  • Assisting site/yard users with all inquiries related to construction tools.

Candidate Profile

We are eager to hear from candidates who meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering disciplines
  • Proficiency in using BIM tools, particularly Autodesk Navisworks
  • Experience with Common Data Environments (CDE)
  • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power App, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Safe Agile certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IT tools and Office suite
  • Understanding of construction-related topics
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Enthusiasm for technology and digitalization
  • Willingness to relocate internationally for extended assignments
  • Experience as a Project Engineer, Construction Engineer, or Planning Engineer (preferred)
