We are currently looking for a BIM - Digital Construction Engineer to enhance and advocate for digitalization within the construction sector, both in the office and on-site, with the goal of improving efficiency and project performance in alignment with our corporate vision.

The selected candidate will report directly to the EasyPlant Program Manager within the CMC – Construction Method Center.

The CMC is an integral part of Global Construction within Delivery Excellence, focusing on the development and implementation of construction engineering solutions to optimize construction activities, costs, and timelines.

The BIM - Digital Construction Engineer will engage in key initiatives, including:

  • Establishing and standardizing BIM coordination processes
  • Managing data through Business Intelligence solutions
  • Implementing Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodologies on EPC projects
  • Participating in an AGILE development team

Role Overview

Following a comprehensive training period on EasyPlant Suite functionalities, the candidate will join the 3D Construction & Technologies team, supporting the Construction Digital Factory.

As a team member, you will embark on a progressive journey that includes:

  • Analyzing and establishing BIM workflows to meet project specifications
  • Creating and managing dashboards utilizing BI solutions
  • Assisting construction operations with BIM technologies
  • Collaborating within an AGILE team to test new or enhanced features, developing and executing detailed test plans, and working with the team to troubleshoot and ensure robustness and reliability of solutions.

This process follows an Agile methodology, providing a structured and effective approach to project development under a TEN Global Governance framework.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing requirements and contributing to the design of new processes or modifications to existing ones
  • Drafting detailed functional specifications that address business needs
  • Collaborating with the agile team to define and prioritize user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Participating in agile team meetings for backlog refinement and preparation for Program Increment planning
  • Supporting the team daily by providing necessary clarifications for story estimates and sequencing
  • Conducting user acceptance testing prior to product launch and assisting in the rollout of new features
  • Communicating, demonstrating, and promoting new solutions utilizing both new and existing design tools.

These experiences will equip you to take on the role of EasyPlant 3D Coordinator on a project, engaging with the construction site as needed.

Within the project, you will be responsible for the setup, deployment, and operation of the EasyPlant suite, which includes:

  • Coordinating BIM 3D models to meet construction requirements using BIM software
  • Providing feedback and requirements to discipline leaders
  • Collecting and preparing setup data with a focus on quality and integrity, collaborating with engineering, planning, and construction teams
  • Ensuring that all site activity reports are accurately updated and disseminated to relevant parties
  • Delivering communication and functional training to site users
  • Assisting site/yard users with all inquiries related to construction tools.

Candidate Profile

We are eager to connect with candidates who meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Technical High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering disciplines
  • Proficiency in using BIM tools, particularly Autodesk Navisworks
  • Experience with BIM - Common Data Environment (CDE)
  • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power App, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Safe Agile certification (preferred)
  • Competence in IT tools and Office suite
  • Understanding of construction-related topics
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Enthusiasm for technology and digital transformation
  • Willingness to relocate internationally for extended assignments
  • Experience as a Project Engineer, Construction Engineer, or Planning Engineer (preferred)
