Job Summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of multiple facilities in the Milan area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with experience in managing multiple functions of building operations, including hard and soft services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients through regular communication and attendance at client meetings.
Facilities Operations
  • Coordinate and oversee repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Review work orders to ensure assignments are completed.
Facilities Inspections and Reporting
  • Conduct regular facilities inspections and prepare reports.
Move Management
  • Coordinate and manage moves, adds, and change activities.
Procurement and Budgeting
  • Obtain and review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Manage capital projects and prepare capital project and operating budget and variance reports.
Vendor Management
  • Manage vendor relationships and train vendors on work order and billing procedures.
  • Process invoices and ensure accuracy of cost center coding.
Financial Analysis
  • Conduct financial and business analysis, including preparation of reports.

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience
  • Appropriate vocational qualifications.
  • Minimum of four years of related progressive experience and/or training.
  • Facility Management certification is desired.
Communication and Financial Skills
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
  • Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Conducts advanced financial analysis.
