RINA is seeking a skilled Junior Project Manager to join its Marine Consulting Division in Genova, Italy. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for executing naval projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, and managing resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage multiple naval projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources accordingly;
  2. Collaborate with clients to ensure satisfaction and meet their expectations;
  3. Develop and implement project strategies, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors;
  4. Generate and distribute project documents, from planning to invoicing;
  5. Oversee the workload and schedules of field/technical personnel, ensuring comprehension and fulfillment of assignment requirements;
  6. Support senior Project Manager/field/technical personnel in carrying out their designated tasks;
  7. Assess the performance of field/technical personnel;
  8. Ensure accurate data entry into RINA systems, adhering to established procedures;
  9. Uphold compliance with the RINA QHSE Management Systems throughout all assigned activities;
  10. Monitor naval project revenues and profitability;
  11. Collaborate with the Naval Business Development department in commercial activities;
  12. Schedule and participate in meetings with clients.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in the marine/shipping sector;
  • 1+ years of experience managing a team of people on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools;
  • Proficiency in engineering concepts and calculations;
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and technical experts;
  • Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to assign tasks based on team members' skills, motivate the team, and manage them effectively;
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software;
  • Familiarity with engineering software is a plus;
  • Prior experience in supervising newbuilding projects, energy transition within the shipping industry, conducting risk assessments, and understanding class rules and statutory regulations is beneficial.

Education

Master's Degree in Naval Engineering;
