SAES Getters S.p.A. is seeking a highly skilled Junior Computational Designer to join our Design House team. As a Junior Computational Designer, you will work on research projects related to additive manufacturing processes and complex system design for consumer applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop design strategies for complex problems using computational design software.
- Collaborate with the Design Manager and multidisciplinary teams on R&D activities.
- Work creatively and technically to solve problems related to technical and ergonomic requirements.
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and clinical research labs.
- Utilize computational and procedural design software like Grasshopper, Houdini, nTop.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating ability to solve technical problems using a computational approach.
- Successful experience working with engineering and product teams to develop designs and bring products to market.
- Demonstrated ability to use computational design software in a methodical and precise manner.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, and VEX.
- Good base knowledge of key manufacturing processes, product development, and DFAM.
- Highly creative problem solver.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility.
- Unrelenting curiosity about the nature of things.
- Passion for materials and innovation.
