Role Overview: The position reports directly to the Global Director of Marketing and is responsible for overseeing the product portfolio management for Huber AgroSolutions (HAS). This role requires collaboration across various functions including the General Manager for EMEA/APAC, Operations, Finance, Innovation, Sales, and technical sales support to ensure alignment between customer demands, manufacturing capabilities, and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimize product lines to enhance gross margin by customer, subsidiary/country, and market. Develop insights into manufacturing costs, production processes, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
- Create comprehensive 5-year strategic marketing and new product introduction plans, fostering product line growth and rationalization where necessary.
- Lead product management and lifecycle analysis closely aligned with business, asset, and marketing strategies to support growth while maximizing profitability and managing working capital.
- Conduct biannual reviews of the portfolio for financial health, positioning, and necessary rationalization to enhance business outcomes while managing complexity.
- Balance customer needs with operational capabilities, working capital constraints, and margin requirements.
- Oversee product list pricing in a central database and establish policies and thresholds for off-list and/or discounted pricing.
- Participate actively in the annual budgeting process, validating costs and product positioning for pricing proposals.
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing products to effectively communicate and position product solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Agronomy, Chemistry, or Business Management, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in the agricultural sector, particularly in biostimulants, with at least 8 years in product or market management.
- Experience managing new product development projects within a stage-gate framework.
- Proven self-starter with strong leadership skills to motivate and engage a cross-functional team of professionals.
- High level of business acumen, including analytical and financial expertise.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various functions.
- Demonstrated project management and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian, with the ability to convey ideas and information clearly.
- Proficiency in business software for transactions, data analysis, and communication (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI).
- Willingness to travel over 20% of the time.
