Job Overview:
We are seeking a Bid Manager to primarily support our engagements within the Public Sector at IT40 Enterprise Services Italia S.r.l.
The Bid Manager plays a crucial role in leading teams, stakeholders, and clients throughout the entire engagement process. This position involves actively shaping and executing the strategy and client engagement plan, collaborating closely with the sales lead to qualify deals, engage clients and partners, and lead a diverse team to ensure all deliverables are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of contact for clients, third parties, and partners regarding tender procurement and planning issues;
- Develop, maintain, and oversee a pursuit and resource plan while engaging a multi-disciplinary team;
- Manage the pursuit budget within established affordability parameters;
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of all client outputs across various work streams;
- Uphold compliance with corporate governance processes;
- Oversee end-to-end project management of the pursuit, addressing risks and issues as they arise;
- Communicate and reinforce sales strategies and client requirements to the pursuit team;
- For public sector engagements, ensure adherence to procurement laws and tender regulations;
- For commercial sector plans, prepare for and participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations;
- Assist the sales lead in interactions with alliance partners;
Required Skills and Experience:
- Typically 3-7+ years of experience in bid management, consultative selling, and project management within the ICT sector;
- Preferable background in the Italian public procurement process;
- Strong networking knowledge of local integrators, vendors, and third-party service providers;
- Technical expertise in the IT industry, particularly in ITO, Applications, and Analytics;
- Proven ability to lead multiple remote, cross-disciplinary teams in a global or complex regional context;
- Capacity to act as the lead for large, intricate projects;
- Adaptive project management skills, employing the best methodologies based on project size and complexity;
- Familiarity with project management and Agile concepts; certifications such as PMI, Prince2, or Scrum Master are advantageous;
- Preferred experience in deal costing and pricing;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Native Italian speaker; Fluency in English - both verbal and written (Upper Intermediate / Advanced);
- A first-level university degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
