The Alstom Services Signalling Business Unit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronics Engineer to join our Maintenance and Technical Assistance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to maintenance activities on Railway Signalling Systems operated by Alstom domestic and international Customers.
Key Responsibilities- System Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize system efficiency.
- Hardware and Software Upgrade Execution: Execute and supervise hardware and software system upgrades to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to product engineering teams to resolve unknown bugs or behaviors, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Customer Feedback and Training: Gather and provide customer feedback to improve products and meet customer needs, as well as provide training to customer maintenance staff to enhance their technical capabilities.
- Maintenance and Technical Assistance Planning: Define and implement maintenance and technical assistance plans to ensure optimal system performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordination and Support: Coordinate and support maintenance technicians on-site and remotely to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Service Organization Support: Provide support to the Service organization in defining maintenance strategies for tenders and offers, ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations.
- Product Engineering Collaboration: Collaborate with product engineering teams to define maintainability requirements during the product design phase, ensuring optimal system performance and minimal downtime.
- Education: Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical Competencies: Knowledge of electronic design principles and methodology, basic knowledge of common operating systems, and basic knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, etc.).
- Behavioral Competencies: Ability to perform analysis and relate information from different contexts, work in a team, and attitude to problem-solving.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in electronic/electromechanical companies as on-site or remote technical assistance is desirable.
- Italian: Excellent level written and spoken.
- English: Good level written and spoken.
