Job Summary

Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Quality Management System Operations and Safety Risk Management initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our operating system based on Flight Deck and Key Performance Indicators, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management System Operations: Develop and implement a standardized operating system for Quality Management System operations, incorporating best industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Risk Management: Collaborate with the Flight Safety Team to define, share, and promote a new framework for Safety Management, building standard work for sustainable operating mechanisms.
  • Metric Development: Work with Quality managers to develop a set of metrics, KPIs, and SPIs in compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Leadership and Training: Provide leadership for Hazard Identification, Risk quantification, and Mitigation processes, and ensure training and qualification of personnel.
  • SMS Promotion: Develop and execute an SMS promotion plan, spreading Just Culture and Open reporting around flight Safety.
  • Interface Risk Management: Collaborate with all functions to drive interface risk management control, including Customers and Suppliers.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: Strong and significant experience in quality and extensive experience in the aerospace and defense sector.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional environment, proven ability to influence and build consensus among multiple functions, knowledge of Quality Systems and auditing methodologies, and knowledge of the main Airworthiness rules and regulations.
  • Language: Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Work Visa: Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.

  • Global Experience: Experience in a global, matrixed organization structure.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Quality Management: Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies, and in-depth understanding of Company products and related processes.
