About the Position:

The Technology Management Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful design and implementation of complex projects, including signalling and EM turnkeys, within the Asia region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams to achieve project goals, define timelines and budgets, allocate resources, and ensure team members are working towards the same objectives.
  • Liaison and interaction with central engineering function departments, including technical troubleshooting, engineering budgeting, and managing resource coordination and prioritization.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, requiring excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Monitoring and reporting project progress, keeping stakeholders informed about milestones achieved and potential challenges.
  • Managing project technical risks and contingencies, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks, and having contingency plans in place for unforeseen circumstances.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding client needs, and ensuring designs meet their expectations.
  • Communicating project progress and challenges to clients clearly and concisely, building trust, and keeping clients informed.
  • Negotiating technical aspects of contracts and agreements, including project scope, fees, and timelines.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of railway systems, including various subsystems such as train control, signalling, communications, power supply, and track infrastructure.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, ensuring designs comply with the latest changes.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and translate them into practical design solutions, facilitating communication between engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting technical problems and providing solutions, ensuring project progress continues.
  • Contributing to business development efforts, identifying new project opportunities, and securing funding.
  • Staying abreast of new technologies and innovations in the railway industry, continuously seeking ways to improve design and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience in a similar business market.
  • Education qualifications preferred: any Engineering Bachelor or Masters degree.
