Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering & Supply team at Alfa Laval Corporate AB. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for medium to high-level complexity projects in the prepared food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and plants for medium to high-level complexity projects.
- Technical Specifications: Prepare technical specifications and project documents, including P&Id, 3D and layout, Bill of Material (BOM), functional design specifications, mass and energy balances, etc.
- Product Selection and Design: Select and design products and solutions based on customer requests and applicable standards and codes.
- Technical Improvement: Deliver input to improve current technical solutions and/or develop new solutions to ensure our competitive advantage.
- Project Meetings: Participate in internal project meetings and in external meetings with customers to discuss/clarify process and design issues and engineering activities.
- Commissioning and Troubleshooting: Participate in commissioning and performance tests and assist in troubleshooting.
- Education: Mechanical Engineering degree or similar.
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience in relevant industries (food, aseptic processing or pharma) in equivalent roles.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of thermal treatment processing, experience with engineering codes and standards (EHEDG and/or other equivalent codes for hygienic design), experience with project documents preparation, experience with commissioning support and plants start-up.
- Computer Skills: Advanced user of Autodesk package (Autocad, Inventor, Vault) and Microsoft Windows environments and Office package.
- Language Skills: Advanced level (B2 or better) in written and spoken English.
