Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) is a leading provider of industrial systems solutions, including variable frequency drives, motors, generators, flywheels, photovoltaic inverters, and advanced automation systems.

As a Sales Engineer at TMEIC Europe, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial and technical strategies to deliver orders and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers in current and potential client organizations.
  • Develop and implement sales and business plans to drive growth and revenue.
  • Create and lead tactical plans to pursue projects at approved accounts.
  • Identify and solicit leads and referrals to maintain an active opportunity pipeline.
  • Ensure timely and accurate creation and submission of commercial and technical proposals.
  • Effectively position TMEIC's products and services as the solution to client needs.
  • Build industry and client awareness of TMEIC's products and services through presentations and meetings.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and support to clients and channel partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations and secure orders.
  • Travel to customer locations to support sales opportunities.
  • Utilize successful order closing strategies to secure orders.
  • Recommend and implement risk assessment and abatement plans to meet project targets.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues and communicate resolutions to management.
  • Prepare documentation and deliver presentations to communicate contractual deliverables and expected financial results.
  • Produce and maintain accurate records of opportunities, proposals, contracts, and business activities.
  • Provide timely updates on sales activity, performance, and customer relationship issues to management.
  • Identify and recommend new and/or enhanced products or service feature needs to drive business growth.
  • Track competitor offerings and propose competitive options to meet client needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
  • 5 years' technical sales, technical customer service, or application engineering experience in a commercial environment.
  • 2 years' experience with power conversion, including adjustable speed drives, equipment, electrical motors/generators, pumps, or compressors.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, presentation, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally frequently, with limited notice.
  • Fluency in English language (knowledge of German language a plus).
Location

Bari, Italy (preferably) or other locations in Italy.
