Position: Project Manager - Automotive Fluids Development
As a Project Manager - Automotive Fluids Development, you will be responsible for developing differentiated product formulations for the Driveline Fluid / Engine Oil Lubricants business. This involves working closely with component/additive suppliers, base oil manufacturers, and external test laboratories to design and develop experimental formulations leading to final products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop differentiated product formulations in line with the agreed business strategy, OEM technical requirements, and global marketing needs.
- Lead or support different types of global or regional projects to deliver differentiated products and offers to the market in a timely manner.
- Work closely with lab technicians, test engineers, technical support teams, global/regional key account managers, and marketing specialists to develop and enhance the technical performance of existing and new products.
- Plan, execute, and document product development support programmes and initiate laboratory work to design and develop experimental formulations.
- Carry out competitor product evaluations and project management including regular updates to all stakeholders at the appropriate level.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry (preferable) or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in lubes development sector or in the automotive industry on automotive fluids formulations development desirable.
- Research/technical knowledge in transmission/engine development or application testing desirable.
- Demonstrated track record in problem solving, innovative approach to overcoming obstacles, and an adaptive approach to achieve outstanding results.
- Project management skills according to PMI guidelines and budget management for relevant projects and investments.
