Senior Sales Director for Grid Solutions

About the Role
As Sales Manager for Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies Business Unit, you will play a key role in driving the sales and marketing of our Digital Grid portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to execute the company's strategy for the region, developing a strategic plan to generate new business opportunities, creating budgets, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Grid Technologies Sales team and the Digital Grid organization, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key customers, including power transmission system operators, electric distribution companies, renewables, and IPP developers.
- Drive marketing activities, such as attending industry conferences, participating in trade fairs, and developing promotional materials to showcase Digital Grid solutions.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback, identifying lessons learned and areas for improvement to enhance sales funnel development and pipeline management.
- Utilize SalesForce and other reporting tools to track sales funnel development, ensure transparency, and prioritize vertical and market approaches.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the power transmission and distribution area, preferably with expertise in Protection and Control domain.
- A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience in promoting and selling HV/MV solutions and related digital offerings.
- Good knowledge of high and medium voltage applications, power transmission and distribution systems, power electronics, renewable generation, power system planning, and development.
- Understanding of customer needs in relation to analysis of electrical power systems, network planning, and grid development across all project lifecycle stages.
- Excellent customer network in Utilities, Industries, and Renewable Energy fields, with experience in customer relationship management and partnership management.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with ability to prioritize issues and challenges, propose creative solutions, and adjust tempo according to workload.
- Strong team working and result-oriented skills, with excellent presentation and communication skills in English and Italian.
